Talented young performers ready to Rock

After months of hard work the enormously gifted performers from the B&B Young People’s Theatre Group, who are based at our Theatre, are ready to take to the stage to perform their annual musical. For 2024 it will be Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock!

School of Rock is the global hit musical based on the iconic movie starring Jack Black. Wannabe rock star Dewey Finn is cast out by his dive-bar bandmates and finds himself in desperate need of cash. Posing as a substitute music teacher at an elite prep school, he exposes his students to the rock gods he idolises.

Featuring 14 new songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber, all the original songs from the movie, and a group of insanely talented kids, School of Rock will warm your heart and blow you away in equal measure.

There will be eight performances of School of Rock from Tuesday 2nd April to Sunday 7th April 2024, including two matinee shows, all at the Players Theatre, Lowestoft.

This musical from B&B has an all-female production team: Co-Directors Fay Bishop (25) and Bethan Roscoe(27); Choreographer Cerys Roscoe (25), and Co-Musical Directors Rebecca George-Broom (39) and Francesca Warren (26).

“The cast have really given this show their all” said Co-Director Fay Bishop. “I think it’s fair to say that everyone involved has had great fun perfecting their characters at rehearsals. The show is going to be amazing!”

Cerys Roscoe, Choreographer added “I’m certain that audiences will just love this production and be in awe of the incredible talent on stage. I’m so proud to be part of it.”
