Our next pantomime will be Beauty and the Beast, an extravaganza which is sure to thrill, entertain and enchant audiences of all ages.
This spectacular fairy-tale favourite will feature a host of zany characters, who will be waiting to take the audience on a roller coaster ride of song, dance, special effects, hilarious slapstick comedy and plenty of audience participation.
Junior performers are being sought by the Lowestoft Players to join the company for the pantomime which will be staged at The Marina Theatre, Lowestoft from 22 to 30 January 2022.
Auditions for the children’s/junior company will be held on Sunday 31 October from 10.00am to 12 noon with registration from 9.30am at the Players Theatre, Battery Green Road, Lowestoft, NR32 1DE
Although children will be accepted up to the age of 16 years, the maximum height is five foot.
At the audition children will be asked to dance and sing an extract from the song Perfection from the film Small Foot.
“Our pantomimes are always very popular and the junior company always has great fun rehearsing and performing” said Hazel Cole, production assistant for the Lowestoft Players.
“However, it’s quite a commitment for parents to ensure that their children are able to attend rehearsals as well as the live performances, but the delight and sense of pride at seeing your child on stage always makes it worthwhile.”

Tickets are already on sale for Beauty and the Beast from The Marina Theatre’s box office. The last production by the Lowestoft Players, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was a sell-out so those wishing to attend are urged to book early.
