The financial position of the society remains stable. We estimate that at present The Players Theatre (The Bethel) is costing in the region of £1k per month in terms of outgoings. Normally these costs would be offset by income received from putting on our own productions, private hires, fundraising and bar takings. As currently none of this is happening the cost of owning and running the building is coming from our savings.
We were delighted to receive a £10k grant which was released from the government to help businesses. This money is being used to cover our outgoings.
It will soon become a priority to start a major fundraising campaign to raise funds for the society until such a time we are able to raise money though our productions again.
